With over 500 students gathering over the course of two weeks, this is one of the most influential, memorable weeks of our year. Pick a track, where you will train or focus on a certain aspect of our faith in smaller groups, and then reconvene with the whole camp for meals and musical worship. And if you aren’t napping in your free time, hit up the zipline, ropes course, frisbee golf course, or the 40-person hot tub!
RJP: Richmond Justice Program 2018
June 6 -July 31
What are you doing this summer? You could join us for 6 weeks in inner city Richmond learning about the injustice and poverty that is right in our own capital. The summer internship gives students an immersive experience of living out their values by sending them in teams to intern with community-based organizations that address the social issues of the city, according to their interests. Students live, work, and go to church with other IV students in low-income neighborhoods of Richmond. Throughout the summer, students receive teaching from a Christian perspective on the biblical values of service, justice, and compassion, as well as receiving regular training in leadership, teamwork, and decision-making. This hands-on experience equips students to use their careers to combat the social, economic, and spiritual challenges of our world. The cost of the program is $2000, fundraised by participants with training and support from IV staff.
